Meet the International Student and Scholar Affairs (ISSA) team and learn how we support you throughout your experience as a RISD international student.

In International Student and Scholar Affairs (ISSA), we support and advocate for RISD’s international community by providing advice and guidance to students and scholars on RISD sponsored visas, as well as those who have recently graduated or completed their work at RISD.

We offer immigration advising that includes visa guidance, maintaining legal status, employment authorization, and travel documents.

We empower students and scholars as they adapt to life and learning in the US by offering resources for cultural adjustment and campus involvement. Working with other departments, we assist orientation programs and offer workshops and social events to help international students build community.
